CWHL Clarkson Cup
What an amazing experience for the North Durham Blades Atom B team yesterday to stand on the ice for the Ring of Honor at the CWHL Finals at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto.  The girls were on the ice for the team introductions and National Anthems of both China (Kunlun Red Star) and Canada (Markham Thunder).

Yesterday's Clarkson Cup, the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) equivalent to the Stanley Cup, was a match up between the Kunlun Red Star and the Markham Thunder.

The Blades Atom B team stepped on the ice of the Ricoh Coliseum, positioned on a faceoff circle to welcome the two final teams onto the ice and stand for the National Anthems.

The girls had a great time, went down to fist pump the Thunder players as they exited between periods, got a photo with a special mascot and were on the jumbotron a few times!

The game went into a 5 minute, sudden death, 4 v 4 overtime with a 1-1 score where the Thunder scored the winning goal.  A great day of Women's hockey creating memories and inspiring our players.
