VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH NORTH DURHAM

Volunteers are the lifeblood of minor hockey. An extremely dedicated group of parents, community members and administrators give their time to ensure a positive experience for our young athletes to play this great sport.

There are lots of ways to get involved with North Durham Minor Hockey from helping at the team level as a coach, trainer, manager, treasurer, social convenor or on-ice volunteer.  At the board of directors level, there are positions that renew every year at the AGM, as well as house league convenor positions that always need filling. There are also various committees that need volunteers to spread out the work such as development, finance, awards, community events, etc.  Tryouts are always a busy time of year and we need help with registration tables and on-ice volunteers.  The First Shift is a "learn to play hockey" program sponsored by the NHLPA and Bauer and we always need on-ice volunteers to teach beginners the game.  This is a great opportunity for secondary school students needing community service hours.

If you are interested in helping us, or have an idea that we haven't thought of, please fill out the Volunteer Form and we will be in touch!
