What a month the girls had!
November was packed with growth, grit, and unforgettable moments—big wins, tough lessons, long drives, cold parades, and plenty of proud smiles. Here’s a look back at an action-filled month.
The girls opened November with a thrilling 3–2 last-second win over the Belleville Bearcats. They followed it up with a hard-fought battle against the Oshawa Lady Generals, but couldn’t find the back of the net in a 5–0 loss.
The next weekend brought another tough matchup, this time against an evenly-matched Durham West team, ending in another 5–0 loss. But the very next day, the girls (and their dedicated parents) braved a snowstorm on the drive to Napanee—then delivered a complete team performance, skating away with an impressive 3–0 victory. Spirits were sky-high on the long four-hour drive home down the 401.
On the third weekend of November, the team marched in the Uxbridge Santa Claus Parade in the morning before heading to Peterborough for a tight matchup with the Ice Kats. After taking a 2–0 lead into the third period, the Blades were edged out in a tough 3–2 loss.
Undeterred, the team regrouped and prepared for a rematch with Oshawa. With renewed energy and a more complete effort, the Blades battled hard and held their heads high in a 3–1 loss to the Lady Generals. The very next day, they fought to a well-earned 1–1 draw with the West Northumberland Wild.
The final weekend of November brought another rematch with Peterborough—this time on home ice. The girls came ready. With two big goals, stellar goaltending, and strong defensive play, the Blades closed out the month with a confident 2–0 win.
In all, November was an incredibly busy and rewarding month—full of challenges, snowstorms, cold-day parades, and memorable victories. The team showed resilience, growth, and heart throughout every adventure.
