Current Season & Future Programming - Survey
Good Afternoon Members of North Durham Minor Hockey.
With the recent changes to our Public Health Measures ND Hockey has been reviewing our options with regards to the continuation of the season. As you are likely aware, the Arenas we access have pulled their ice during the stay-at-home order period. It is possible that we can work with townships to put the ice back in, but we are waiting on some information as we move into February.
Recently the OHF held a Town Hall for Minor Hockey Associations. They have shared some information that will inform our planning for the end of this season and the start of the 2021-2022 season. We will share that information for the upcoming season once it is final and approved.
For the remainder of this season, we may have an option to provide a block of hockey programming that would fit between March 1st and May 31st. ND Hockey is currently determining the feasibility of ending the current season, and finalizing refunds or amounts outstanding depending on fees paid. The final amount for the season is not confirmed but will be based on the period from our initial ice to the shutdown on December 23rd.
As always, we are working to find ways to provide important hockey related activities for our players. To determine if it is possible to run an eight-to-twelve-week block of programming we would ask that you complete the survey provided – it is brief but will provide us with valuable numbers to understand if there is interest in a continuation of programming and how much ice we would need to secure to run programming.
Please complete the survey regardless of your plans, we want to hear from everyone. The survey will be closed and tabulated on Monday January 25th.
