Reach Road Closure!

Reach Road will be closed at the Nonquon River Bridge starting Monday November 16th, where the lights are currently in place to allow traffic in one direction at the bridge just west of Hwy 12.  This will now be a full closure.  Please plan ahead and use alternate routes.  Hwy 12, Marsh Hill Road etc.  Facilities are still only allowing access for 15 minutes ahead and will not be making accommodations due to the road closure.

Advance Road Closure Notification

The Regional Municipality of Durham will be repairing the Nonquon River Bridge, which connects Reach Street (Regional Road 8)over the Nonquon River, in the Township of Scugog. Work will begin November 16 and includes replacement of the timber bridge deck and asphalt wearing surface.  The bridge will be closed to traffic, with detours in place anticipated for approximately 4 weeks while the repair is completed.  Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule. The Region realizes that the work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.
