WARRIORS INITIATION PROGRAM (IP) CROSS-ICE HOCKEY MANDATE
Submitted By Admin on Tuesday, August 22, 2017
Beginning in the 2017-18 season, Hockey Canada is implementing a new policy that mandates cross-ice/half-ice hockey for players at the Initiation Program (IP) level (traditionally 5 and 6 year olds).

NDMHA will be adopting the Hockey Canada, Cross-Ice/Half Ice program at the Initiation level for our young players. This is an incredibly exciting time for all young hockey players across Canada as coaching is now being tailored to be more age appropriate. The emphasis for our young players is development in a fun and non-competitive environment.

Notes:

Effective for the 2017-18 season, Rostered Select programming will not be offered at the Initiation Program (IP) level.  Additionally, all IP players must play at their proper age group. The OMHA Development group will be providing clarification and details to NDMHA.
