U10 AA & A Coaches 2026-2027

Warriors U10 AA - Leo Taillon

Leo Taillon has been immersed in hockey throughout his life through multiple perspectives, including experience as a goaltender, official, timekeeper, and as part of a professional live sports broadcasting team. This broad involvement has shaped a coaching approach focused on player development, strong habits, and smart decision-making.

The 2026–2027 season will be Leo’s 6th season with North Durham Minor Hockey Association and his 4th season as Head Coach for the 2017 age group. He is committed to building structured, inclusive, high-energy environments where players are supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow with confidence.

Leo continues to invest in his coaching development to stay current with modern techniques and best practices. As Head Coach of U10AA, his goal is to build a team identity rooted in work ethic, pace, discipline, and togetherness, while helping athletes develop confidence, hockey IQ, and pride in representing North Durham both on and off the ice.

Warriors U10 A - Ryan Jackson

Ryan grew up playing hockey in Stouffville and had the chance to play for some great coaches as well as coach with some at all levels of youth hockey (U12-U16, A, AA and AAA).

Through hockey he has been able to make life long friendships and relationships that he still has today.  To him, this is one of the best parts of being part of the hockey community.

A main goal for Ryan as a coach is to help other foster these same friendships and relationships for the players.

This will be his third season with this 2017 age group and he is really looking forward to continuing to focus on fun, effort, becoming quality teammates, being accountable to your teammates, coaches and parents, as well as developing a commitment to learning the game.  If these remain the focus, winning will be a byproduct of our work in those areas.

He will use all of my experiences to help the players create the best possible “TEAM” we can.”
