Welcome to our 2017/2018 Uxbridge House League Initiation Season!
We are so excited to have your kids be a part of the North Durham Warriors, and we intend to make this the best season yet!
Please note the following information regarding Ratings Day and Team Schedules:
RATINGS DAY!:
September 16th - 7am, 8am, 9am.

You will be emailed a time based on your child's last name. A-Z. Please ensure your child is in full hockey gear before hitting the ice. They will not be allowed onto the ice without the proper equipment - especially mouth-guard. Also - if you have not paid in full as of the 16th of September, your child will not be allowed onto the ice.
I am trying to keep the siblings together for that day, as we don't want parents to have to spend the whole morning at the rink.
Team Rosters:
Currently we have 110 kids - which will make approx. 8-10 teams. Teams will be chosen based on evaluation and age, and will be announced shortly after ratings day. I will rely heavily on my Coaching Team to ensure the teams are even, and fair.
COACHES/ASSISTANT COACHES/TRAINERS:
Below are links to coaching clinics available for coach volunteers to take. This would include both head and assistant coaches in our age group. Coaches/Assistant Coaches will all need to have Coach 1.
https://ehockey.hockeycanada.ca/ehockey/ClinicList.aspx?oid=1254&qid=1127 Looks like closet location is either Lindsay (earliest, in Sept) or Newmarket (October), or Peterborough (but not until Nov), as not many associations are offering these courses any more. You need not worry about the dates as your volunteers have until Nov to make sure they are qualified and have all required certifications. But do make sure you do not miss any of these available dates listed, as there are no more courses offered other than what is listed. If you miss any of these, you will have to wait until next year and will not be able to coach or assist.

Our association will reimburse for payment upon completion. Please keep receipts and submit to myself for approval. Please make sure this is done ASAP as well. The longer it takes for any bench volunteers to get their certification, the longer it takes to roster the players and the teams with the OMHA (all players and bench volunteers such as coaches and trainers must be certified and registered with OMHA).
