North Durham Minor Hockey is pleased to announce its first ever coaching symposium on Sunday., Sept. 14, 9 am - 5 pm, at the Scugog Arena Recreation Hall. (Morning coffee and lunch will be provided.)
Entitled “Player Centered Coaching,” this free event is for all North Durham coaches of any level. Presenters will be ND Director of Coaching Richard Bercuson (https://grassrootsminorhockey.com/) and Hockey Eastern Ontario Coach Development Coordinator Brian Gillam (https://www.briangillamhockey.com/).
Symposium topics: Designing activities - Skills acquisition - From drill to “ga-ril” - How to use small space games - Coaching roles - Teaching principles - Questioning as feedback - and more.
Coaches should bring pen & paper or laptop/tablet for notes.
