North Durham mourns the loss of Former Player Thomas Stacey
Thomas Stacey Obituary

It is with the heaviest hearts that we share that our beloved son and brother Thomas passed away on Friday August 1, 2025 at the age of 21 years. Deeply loved and terribly missed by his parents Shelley and Paul and siblings Hannah and Jack. Thomas leaves behind his Grandma Diane, and Uncle Andy and Auntie Nancy.

Thomas loved his pet dogs and cats and he loved being outdoors. He had a heart of gold, a quiet and gentle kindness, and he loved to be silly and to make people laugh. Thomas was the first to help someone in need and he always treated people with fairness and honestly. He never saw himself as more important and he never saw anyone else as less. He was a marvelous athlete from the time he could walk, excelling and entertaining on the ice as a hockey player, on the pitch in soccer as a little boy and he could run like the wind and leap to the moon. We were so immensely proud to call Thomas ours. Thomas was so very beautiful. He had the bluest eyes that sparkled and shone, freckles that joyously danced across his face, and a smile that could ease the heaviest of burdens and light up the whole world. Thomas was sweet and so truly and completely loved by his family. Life will be painfully sad without him.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge on Wednesday August 13, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and on Thursday August 14, 2025 beginning at 11 AM. A Memorial Service to celebrate Thomas’ life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 PM. Please attend Thomas’ Memorial Service. He needs to look down on us all and see and hear how tremendously he was loved, and that he’s not alone. Thomas will never be forgotten. We will be carry Thomas in our hearts and minds until the end of time.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Pound Dog Rescue would be appreciated by the family. Thomas would be so happy to help more dogs find love and safety. Friends are invited to send condolences or make donations at www.lowandlow.ca.
