Blades Coaches Representative & Recreational

All ND Blades coaches must have the required OWHA certifications in order to be rostered to a team.  These include, the appropriate Coaching course, Respect in Sport - Activity Leader and they also need to submit a Vulnerable Sector, Police Record Check as well as a signed Rowan's Law acknowledgement form. 

Representative Team Bench Composition - All representative teams must have a Head Coach and a Trainer and one rostered bench staff that is female.  All teams require a team manager as well, but the manager can be Insured (Insured to be on the ice at practices or on the bench during games) OR Uninsured (never on the ice or on the bench)

Recreational Team Bench Composition
 - All recreational teams must include at a minimum a Head Coach and a Trainer.  The minimum requirement for House League Assistant Coaches is the completion Respect in Sport Activity Leader Program and a Criminal Reference, Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and Rowan's Law acknowledgement. If the Assistant Coach participates with the team outside of the NDMHA House League program or must act as the Head Coach at any point throughout the season, they will require full NCCP coach certification.

THE LOCKER|CAC DATABASE


The Locker
 is the Coaching Association of Canada’s online database. Access to The Locker will provide all coaches with the opportunity to track their progress and guide their development.

  • Coaches can create a log-in and access their Profile and Transcript online -where they can can view/update personal information, coaching records and access printable transcripts.
  • Certification Maintenance & Professional Development points will be tracked on the Coach’s Transcript in ‘The Locker’ and will update the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) Profile when ‘Certified’ status is renewed
