STRONG START FOR THE NORTH DURHAM BLADES
The Blades are off to a great start this season!

The Novice Blades had a quick successful start to their season with a 2-1 win over Peterborough on the road and then a 3-1 win over Napanee in their home opener. The wins were a thrill for the players and a relief for the coaching staff, after going winless in the regular season last year.

The Atom B team started their season with a 9-0 win over Oshawa in their own tournament a couple of weeks ago. They hope to follow that up in the Clarington tournament this weekend, followed by the start of their regular season on Monday against Aurora.

For the first time in Blades history, we are excited to have two peewee teams. Our Peewee A team took the leap from BB to A after a strong pre-season. They start their regular season at home in Uxbridge tonight at 7:45pm against Aurora.

The Peewee B team has continued to expand through the pre-season. The girls are excited to start their season on Friday night in West Northumberland, followed by their home opener in Port Perry against Leaside on Saturday afternoon.

The Bantam B Blades started their pre-season with some physical games against Lindsay and Georgina. The girls came out on the winning end of a few penalty-filled games, ready to start their regular season in Uxbridge against Durham West at 8:45pm tonight, following the Peewee A game.

The Midget Blades had a successful pre-season with a 6-2 record. They begin their regular season against the Scarborough Sharks on Sunday, and then head in to the Clearview tournament next weekend.

Good luck to all players and coaches for a fun and successful season! Come out and cheer on your Blades teams as they begin their seasons in Port Perry and Uxbridge!

GO BLADES GO!!!!!
