20-21 Season Update
We hope you are all doing well. At this time NDMHA has decided to cancel the
2020-2021 Hockey season due to the ongoing COVID 19 Pandemic. At this point in the year, it has been
determined there is not enough time or available ice to complete the season as
originally intended.
To close off the September to December season we will be
issuing a refund or seeking payment of fees.
Fees have been pro-rated to the point in the year where we were no
longer able to offer programming, December 23, 2020.
The final cost for the season includes the projected amount of ice your player received based on the Tier they played in and additional start up costs for the season. These initial costs include jersey and socks, insurance, and team registration fees. The full cost of hockey this season has been reduced with the contribution of our Association reserves. These reserves have covered all non hockey related expenses that would typically be included in registration fees.

We are still looking at options for spring programming. We are currently in communication with our Facility providers. We have been advised that there will be no Ice put back into Scugog Arena while we remain in Red. Uxbridge has advised they are reviewing their options as a community facility and no decisions have been made as of this date.
North Durham Minor Hockey is evaluating all of our options including the results of the Poll we sent out in January. Our options remain open at this time with a hope of moving to an Orange (Restrict) Colour Code. We will further update you over the next two weeks as we have further information. We will remain optimistic for Season 2 with a new Fee Structure, subject to Ice availability, Coach/Trainer availability and membership commitment.
