FAQ's for North Durham Warriors Members

In continuing to adhere to public health guidelines that will for a safe return to sport, OMHA Return to Play - OHF Stage 3b) programming will begin effective September 1st.


  • Players must be registered for the 2020-21 season in order to be eligible and covered by Hockey Canada insurance. Players may participate with their Home Association or the Association with which they were registered for the 2019-20 season.
  • Players registering for the very first time will register with the Association identified as their residential (home) Association.
  • Associations may now begin to collect registration fees for programming associated with Stage 3.

FAQ – North Durham Minor Hockey Members

Q. My child played AA/A/AE/Select/HL last year.  Can they attend Zone AAA programming?

A. No. You must register and participate where you were registered last season or return to your Home Association.

 

Q. We were Affiliated Players to our Zone AAA last season.  Can we participate in their programming in 2020-2021?

A. No.  You must participate where you were registered last season or your home association.  Affiliation is not Registration.

 

Q. My Zone AAA program is offering development skates, can we attend?

A. Yes if you were registered with the Zone AAA last season and have registered with the Zone AAA this season.  No, if you were registered with your Home Association last season.

 

Q. A private company is running a 3v3 or 4v4 fall program.  This will involve games in a 50 person bubble.  Are we permitted to enroll in this private programming without jeopardizing our OMHA eligibility?

A. No. We remind everyone that under Hockey Canada, OHF and Ontario Minor Hockey Association rules, anyone who chooses to participate with an unsanctioned league AFTER September 30th, 2020 will NOT be permitted to return to any Hockey Canada sanctioned activities for the duration of the 2020-2021 season. This would include rep and AAA hockey.

 

Q.  Our Zone AAA is running a 3v3, 4v4 program that will have bubbles and allocation of teams to rosters, can we participate?

A. The Zone AAA programming can only operate with players that were registered to the program last year.
