Programming Name Changes
Submitted By Tina Dawson on Monday, April 6, 2020
For the 2020-2021 Season the Ontario Minor Hockey Association has made the following changes:

Rostered Select will now now be referred to as Select Hockey and is defined as follows:
A Category of Minor Hockey in the Divisions of U10 to U18 which in order to be eligible, a Player must be Registered with a recognized (sanctioned) House League organization and accordingly be an active participant in the corresponding Division in a recognized (sanctioned) schedule of House League programming. Select Players are not required to abide by residential regulations.

Minor Novice Select will now be called "Development Stream" and defined as:
A recreational team at the U8 division that participates at the highest level of recreational programming and is comprised of players who are eligible for the Centre by age and residence as per OMHA residency Regulation 3.3. Development Stream players shall not be rostered to another recreational team.

Minor Development has also been redefined as:
Minor Development Team: A Recreational team in U14 and above that participates at a level above House League but lower than Representative and is comprised of players who are eligible for the Centre by age and residence as per OMHA residency Regulation 3.3. Minor Development players shall not be rostered to a House League team
