Courses for D1 and Coach 1/2 Certification Maintenance

In order for NCCP coaches to maintain your Coach 1/2 or D1 ‘CERTIFIED’ status, you will be required to obtain a required number Professional Development (PD) points over a 5 year period.

North Durham will be hosting a Day of Courses on January 4th that will help to obtain these points.



2 Instructional Clinics are: 5 CEP Points each
 
Skills
Develop the ability to confidently lead players through skill specific drills and then link them to game application. Learn how to teach skills for technique and results, and develop an understanding of the components required for skill acquisition.
 
Developing Defensemen
Coaches are introduced to the basic principles of defensive skating, regroup, neutral zone play, defensive zone 1-on-1 play, shooting, and individual breakout skills. The on-ice portion demonstrates drills focusing on these skills.  
 

In class sessions will be from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

On ice sessions from 4:00-5:30 pm and 5:30-7:00 pm
