Step 3 Guidelines for Scugog and Uxbridge Facilities

Please read through in advance of visiting the arena.

Also make sure you complete screening before arriving at the arena:

Step 3 Facility Guidelines

  • 40 skaters/players permitted on each ice/floor pad – coaches, trainers, referees and timekeeper additional
  • 80 spectators permitted in the stands, 2 m physically distanced and spectators must wear a mask or face covering
  • Spectators must exit the facility immediately after the rental has ended and wait for players outside the facility.
  • Participants will use the entrance that corresponds to the facility area their program is scheduled, i.e. Pad 1 entrance through main south entrance, Pad 2 entrance at south/west entrance
  • The entrance doors will remain locked until it is the next group’s time to get ready (Scugog - 15 minutes prior to rental) (Uxbridge – 20 minutes prior to rental)
  • Parents and players/skaters must line up outside the entrance doors keeping 2 metres distancing and follow signage and floor markings
  • Skaters/players will enter first, followed by spectators
  • Township staff will unlock the door and allow skaters/players and spectators to enter the facility maintaining 2 m physical distance.
  • Contact information and screening will be the sole responsibility of the coach/team. Team/coach must retain the information for 30 days.
  • On arrival, patrons must sanitize their hands with hand sanitizer
  • Access for spectators will be limited to the spectator area inside the ice pad - No lobby access for spectators
  • Visitors and players must wear a mask when inside the facility until they enter the ice surface
  • Coaches must wear a mask on the player’s benches
  • All skaters/players, including the coach must wear a mask inside the dressing rooms. Due to the limited number of dressing rooms, 1 dressing room per team will be allotted.
  • Showers and washrooms in dressing rooms will be closed off and no access provided
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of public washrooms, lobby areas, dressing rooms, referee’s rooms, players’ benches and penalty boxes will be completed according to the Cleaning and Disinfecting Facilities Standard Operating Procedure
  • Beverages are permitted within the facility
  • If a player/skater/coach or parent feels sick and demonstrating COVID-19 symptoms they must stay home and not attend the facility or program
  • Each Association or Club must have its own screening protocols in place and do its part to prevent the spread of COVID-19
  • Players, coaches and skaters will only be permitted to arrive 15 minutes prior to their activity time
  • No in and out privileges
  • Participants are permitted to change into their equipment in the dressing rooms
  • Coaches and instructors are responsible to supervise their participants and to ensure all protocols are being followed.
  • Participants will use the entrance that corresponds to the facility area their program is scheduled, i.e. Pad 1 entrance through main south entrance, Pad 2 entrance at south/west entrance
  • Players in the player boxes will attempt to maintain physical distance
  • Parents/guardians are not permitted in the area where skaters put their skates on unless the player/skater requires assistance to tie skates
  • No off ice warm-ups will be permitted within the building
  • Water bottles are never to be shared between participants, each participant is to bring their own water bottle
  • No spitting, snorting or releasing of any body fluids on the ice or players bench or ice surface - this could result in immediate ejection or removal
  • Each group will be expected to leave within 15 minutes(Scugog) 20 minutes (Uxbridge) after their program time has ended and while leaving the facility, each person will be asked to use hand sanitizer provided
